Recorded from the cab, not the boardroom.

On The Road Podcast started as a way to talk about the transport industry the way it actually gets talked about — at the servo, over the CB, in the queue at the depot.

How it started

No head-office polish, no lifestyle-brand gloss — just people who've done the miles, talking about the issues that actually matter to drivers. What began as a twice-a-week show is now a weekly hour, built around pay, safety, fatigue, and an industry that's changing faster than the rules keeping up with it.

Over 350 episodes in, the format hasn't changed much: straight conversation, real stories, and enough respect for the audience not to dress it up as anything other than what it is.

What we stand for

A few things that don't change, week to week.

Straight talk

No spin, no sponsor-friendly softening of hard conversations about pay, safety or working conditions.

Driven by drivers

Topics come from the people actually doing the job, not head office or a PR calendar.

Respect for the audience

Truckies aren't a stereotype to play for laughs — the show treats the industry and the people in it seriously.

Open door

Listener call-ins and tip-offs aren't a gimmick — they're how a lot of episodes start.
